Volvo Cars: Enterprise tooling for business processes

Period: June 2023 - present

I have been leading the design for the official platform for Enterprise tooling in Volvo since June 2023. The tooling system in Volvo is a complex space: hundreds of product teams owning different applications that contribute to the Lead to Order, Order to Delivery, Usage and Internal business journeys. This platform is a home for 20+ major applications that support car sales at dealers in 80+ markets.
I am also part of the leadership group in the Enterprise foundation sub-cluster in Volvo’s Commercial Digital Foundation.

Our design mission & problem spaces

1. Broken customer journey across channels

2. No central platform had existed before that lead to designers and developers building their own components and patterns

3. No official support and design quality assurance for the designers working in the Enterprise space
